On October 12th, 2007, ACCME mandated a new Update to their policies prohibiting CME providers from seeking Speaker Suggestions and from requesting Scientific and Medical Accuracy review from commercial supporters. It is important to the LGO, as a commercial supporter of CME activities, that all of the ACCME’s policies are followed in the programs we support. Lilly has made the determination that until further guidance from ACCME is forthcoming on this issue, we will not provide speaker suggestions or Medical and Scientific Accuracy Reviews to grant recipients.
