Can the MES essay be evaluated on a pass/fail grading scale?
No. All requirements for the minor in European Studies—including the essay—must be graded with the standard grading system. The essay director will assign an actual letter grade to the final essay, and he/she will then submit this grade to the Nanovic Institute. The director of the Nanovic Institute reviews all grades and submits them to the Office of the Registrar.
