Can the new and bigger Colts offensive line open holes for Joseph Addai and Donald Brown?
The Colts were at the bottom of the NFL pile in rushing yards with a paltry 80.2 per game. That didn’t seem to hurt their ability to win, but being able to pound the ball a bit in the fourth quarter to kill the clock with a first down or two on the ground will give the Colts more than the razor-thin margin for error they had in 2009. With that in mind, the Colts added some bulk in guard Andy Alleman (6′4″, 310 lbs.) and tackle Adam Terry (6′8″, 335 lbs.). Oklahoma TE Brody Eldridge was the best blocking TE in the draft, and the Colts grabbed in the fifth round. Former tackle Tony Ugoh is trying to slide to guard, and will battle Mike Pollak for the spot at left guard. There are so many questions about the line that it’s hard to know where to start to look for answers.
