Step I: Create the file. 1. Select the main choice Incident, then select the sub menu choice Disk Submission. 2. Enter the date range. Then click the reports button to check incomplete incidents 3. Then press the Generate button. This will create a file. Step II: Mail E-Mail the file. 1. Use Outlook or some other program to E-Mail the data. If you would like to practice sending the file please use info@alpinesoftware.com. We will test them and respond to let you know how they test. You can e-mail the NFIRS disk submission file to the NYSOFPC at the e-mail address they have provided. Submit your Version 5.0 data via disk or by email to nfirs5@dos.state.ny.us While the NFIRS specification is still changing we recommend that you pre-submit the incidents to Alpine. info@alpinesoftware.com. We will check them against the latest validation tool from the USFA.
