Can the NO-DES system be used when performing in-the-field large meter testing?

(A) Yes. Instead of discharging water into the street, a 2-1/2″ hose is attached to the discharge side of the test meter, with the other end being connected to the inlet side of the NO-DES unit. This water is then filtered, and disinfected if so desired before being returned back into the distribution system via a hydrant. The NO-DES unit’s flow meter can be used to confirm the accuracy of the meter being tested.
