Can the pill be used to postpone menstruation?
The pill allows you to keep your menstrual cycle well under control. Postponing menstrual bleeding is particularly easy with monophasic pills, since each individual pill contains the same drug combination. If you’d like to bring your menstruation forward, stop taking the pill by leaving out at most the last seven tablets. Bleeding will occur 2 to 3 days after the last pill. If you would like to postpone your menstruation, start taking the next pack immediately without an intake interval. Again, take exactly the same number of additional pills as the number of days by which you wish to delay your menstruation. It is often more convenient just to take the entire pack. This should then be followed, as usual, by a seven day interval and menstruation will start again after two to three days.
