Can the predetermined Karma be overturned by the use of Tantra in esoteric Buddhism?
Sorry I don’t belong to the esoteric sect, and I am unable to comment on this question. However, if you ask this question from the view point of Jen Chen Buddhism, I maybe able to teach you all I know. I don’t feel strong enough connection with the esoteric Buddhism, though I was indeed trained in the esoteric sect for eight years. In the end, I had to let go of those practices. At that time, I had attained a high state of practice, for instances, I could even make water or rice jump up when I practiced meditation. It is true that water and rice could even jump. However, later on, I realized that such phenomenon was caused by mere mental force. Even though I could make water jump and rice jump up and down, it would not help and had nothing to do with my cultivation and ultimate emancipation. That type of practice is a part of the imagination technique in Buddhism, imagining certain things happening. For instances, just like some people want to become rich by imagining hooking up treasu
