This is one of our most asked rubber flooring FAQ. It is almost always better to install rubber weight room flooring over a hard surface such as concrete or wood. If the carpet is an extremely low and tight pile it may be possible to go right over it but it needs to be a hard, tight pile carpet. In most cases we recommend removing the carpet before your rubber rolls or interlocking tiles are installed.
