Iowa Code gives the School Budget Review Committee (SBRC) authority to consider use of the unexpended General Fund balance for demolition related to a reorganization or dissolution, but there is no mention of demolition related to a disaster. If a district had no PPEL or LOSST resources available, it could make a request and allow the SBRC to consider the district’s situation.
