Can the TAC fund personal alarms?
The TAC can fund the reasonable cost of a personal alarm and monitoring service when this is recommended by a medical practitioner and/or treating therapist and is medically necessary due to transport accident injuries. If the client does not have a contact person, he/she will need to be registered with the RDNS Response Service. Keys need to be made available to the nominated contacts or the Response Service via a keysafe so that they can enter the home in the event of a call.
