The safety datasheet for this vaccine states that it can be used during pregnancy and lactation. Vaccinating mares in late pregnancy may deliver some maternal antibodies in the colostrum but this will be at a low level and strict biosecurity measures will still be necessary to protect foals from exposure to infection.
