Can these Igniters sense flame? I have a customer who says that some of the Nordyne numbers that you have on the replacement list are also used for flame sensors?
Although our round igniters are very good flame sensors it will always depend on the type of controller the appliance uses. We do not recommend that you use our igniters as flame sensors unless our instructions state that they can be used for this purpose. If you are using our ingiters successfully as a flame sensor, we would be very pleased to hear the details. The flat igniters (400 series) will not work as a flame sensor under any condition, regardless of the controller.
