Can tuition waivers be used for studying abroad?

No. (i.e.Massachusetts State Employee, Dependent, Native Americans, Senior Citizens, National Guard, etc.) Possible exception: If you have a Mass Employee Dependent Waiver, speak with an advisor at IPO since there are a few specific reciprocal-exchange UMass Amherst programs for which these waivers can be used. In general, waivers cannot be applied to overseas programs. Upon your return to campus, you will be granted waivers lost during your studies abroad.
