Can twins that are in seperate amniotic sacs in the womb be identical twins?

There is no way to tell as of yet. If they were sharing a sac, you would know for sure that they are identical before they arrive. If they are different genders, you know for certain that they are fraternal before they arrive. But, if they are in separate sacs and you find that they are the same gender, you will not know until they arrive, and perhaps until a DNA test (because identical twins do not always appear identical at birth, and fraternal twins can look nearly identical sometimes). All identical twins DO NOT share the same sac. Yours could still be identical, or they could be fraternal. Your next hint will come when you find out the genders. Congratulations!
