This type of cylinder can also be used as a double-acting cylinder. To do so, all you need to do is unscrew the filter part in the exhaust air hole and replace it with a fitting (e.g. type QS-…). Please note that the cylinder force is lower against the effective force of the springs (by the amount of the spring force) and higher in the opposite direction (by the amount of the spring force).
