Can u donate blood if u have mono?

Absolutely not because you could give mono to someone else as well as the fact that a lot of people who get mono go anemic while they have it and you can’t get blood if your levels don’t meet a certain standard.

No. Your blood chemistry during illness is different from normal blood… your immune system is revved up and you’ve got a ton of germs and viruses floating around. You don’t want to give that to somebody who is in need of blood!

No. You can give blood after it’s completely out of your system (I had mono but I gave blood about two years later), but not while you’re currently sick.

no. they have you fill out a form before you give blood and they ask you questions…but most importantly, if you were sick within the past few weeks, it is best advised NOT to give blood. You would not want to be responsible for passing on a sickness to another person. Lets be safe than sorry and just wait for another time to donate blood.

No, you have to be healthy. Even if they did let you, it wouldn’t be smart. Donating blood is great and it saves lives, but it could put your life in danger, so wait until you’re healthy.
