Can users open several accounts to conceal their identity for the purpose of shilling?
Unfortunately, this is a common occurrence on auction sites that do not require credit card verification at registration. Users obtain multiple email addresses from their ISP and register multiple times with fake names, addresses, and phone numbers. Typically, this is done for the purposes of shilling and feedback padding–posting fraudulent positive feedback to another user name.
