You can share macros and templates with users of other versions of Word. However, the templates included with Word 2000 take advantage of the new and enhanced features in the application. The unique features in Word 2000 are lost when a template is saved in a previous format such as Word 97 or Word 95 format. For more information, see Sharing Macros and Templates with Previous Versions of Word.
