Can we use the AEROSTRIP aerators to upgrade an existing plant? Does this limit the existing mixing capability of the plant?
The strip aerators can be laid out in a very efficient manner, in spite of all obstacles. Existing old piping for old coarse bubble and old tubular diffusers can be utilised for substantial savings, as the ¾” fittings can be used to connect the new strip aerators. The smaller the bubble size, the better will be the mixing for a given air amount. We had obtained proper mixing for air rates as low as 2Sm³/h m² (0.11 Sft³ / ft2) of bottom area with floor-mounted strip aerators.
