Can women with health insurance coverage enroll in WHP?
Women enrolled in Medicaid, CHIP or Medicare Parts A or B are not eligible for WHP. A woman who has private health insurance is not eligible for WHP unless (1) her private coverage does not cover family planning services, or (2) filing a claim on her health insurance would cause physical, emotional, or other harm from her spouse, parents or other person.
