Can you buy american girl doll wigs?
It’s actually very easy to do yourself! The American girl dolls generally wear a size 10-11″ wig which can be purchased at many doll shops or on Ebay. Work the original wig loose starting from the nape of the neck and pull toward the front…it is ruined anyway, so no worries about ripping it apart. Once it is off, there is no need to clean off the old glue unless it is going to show past the area of the new wig or unless these is a great deal of hair left behind (then just scrape it off). The old glue and fibers will actually help adhere the new wig onto the head better.
