Bloch sells Bloch. Gaynor Minden shoes need to be purchased from a Gaynor Minden dealer. I refuse to let my students wear them and I think they’re awful for anything asides from a professional performance shoe. They’re different in the sense that they have a weird plastic shank and they don’t break in or fit to the foot like other shoes do over time. You must buy them from a dealer (never online) and have them fit like an absolute glove because they won’t change shape. This means they have to be custom made (which can take a few weeks). They’re also rather expensive and cost about twice to three times as much as other brands of shoes. They are a PROFESSIONAL level shoe that requires proper training and technique to use. They’re designed for weaker dancers with lousy feet. The shoes do all the work for you which is ‘cheating’.
