Yes you can. There is some fact you must consider before frying the chips to ensure they turn out properly. Frozen chips are partially cooked at the factory to make them easier to bake and so they will turn out fluffy inside. The best way to fry chips is to use the double frying method. The first fry should be done with the oil at 325 -350º F (167 – 176º C) and fry until they just start to show signs of browning. They will be limp. Remove from the oil, drain and cool while the oil temp is being raised to 375º F (190º C). When the chips are cooled place them in the hot oil and fry until golden brown. Salt immediately upon removal from the hot oil. Since the frozen chips are par-cooked you and skip the first frying step and go directly to the second step and the chips will turn out great.
