You do not ovulate when you are on the pill. That is what the pill does it prevents you from ovulating and thins your lining to prevent implantation. Your cycle on the pill is manufactured by chemical hormones. It is not your real cycle and you can not count it as such. When you come off of the pill it may take time for your cycle to go back to what is normal for you. Many times a woman’s cycle returns to what it was prior to ever being on the pill. Some women do not ovulate when the first come off of the pill. It can take a while. It is different for everyone. Unless you were charting your waking temp, or doing ovulation predictor kit or being closely monitored by an RE by blood work and ultrasounds through out your cycle there is no way to know when you actually did ovulate.
