All the 'gazon' (foreground) aquarium plants are known to be quite picky about light, you will need good lighting and additional CO2 in your tank to keep them alive and in good shape. Java moss can cover your aquarium bottom, but will not look like a grass carpet. Java moss is a very easy plant, doesn't need any special care. Check the site below, on the right side it has a list of plants, see which ones stay small; there you can see their requirements too so you will know if you have good conditions for them in your tank or not. <a href="http://www.tropica.com/default.asp" rel="nofollow">http://www.tropica.com/default.asp</a> Your fish wil not eat any plants, if you see your guppies picking something from the leaves , it is tiny algae not pieces of the leaf.
