Can you keep a betta with bumblebee gobies in a gallon fishbowl?
In short, no. One gallon is JUST big enough for a single betta, but this tank is not large enough to share. Bumblebee gobies need room to move (ten gallons minimum) and like to be kept in groups – again, not suitable for such a small bowl. The betta will harass the small shy gobies and may kill them. Bettas and gobies require different feeding. Also, gobies are brackish water fish. This means they require salty water, about halfway between fresh water and sea water. Bettas will not tolerate this much salt on a permanent basis, and gobies will not survive in freshwater.
