Can you recommend any good and reasonably priced Malaria tablets?
Personally, I wouldnt worry about malaria tablets. The reasons for that are as follows: 1. Even in high risk areas, you are more likely to contract dengue fever, than malaria. There are no drugs to prevent dengue fever and there are no drugs to treat it. That means that you need to be very careful to avoid being bitten in the first place. (Wearing long, loose clothing and insect repellent etc.) If you do this, than the chances of catch either dengue or malaria are very minimal. 2. In spite of what people might tell you, ALL malaria tablets have side effects. These range from heartburn, through to making you photosensitive (where you get sunburned really easily.) The risk of contracting malaria, compared to the side effects isnt worth it. 3. Malaria tablets are not 100% effective. Just because you take them, doesnt mean you wont get malaria if you’re unlucky. So, again, you need to prevent mosquito bites to be safe, and, again, if you arent being bitten, then you dont need the drugs.
