Can you sue the state of CT for falling on Hammonasset Beach & breaking ankle?

I work in Insurance and see tons of GL claims for slip/falls. The most you will get paid is for the doctor’s bills. However, it depends on how she fell. Did she trip over something that shouldn’t be there? Most the claims I see are people tripping over cracked pavement or holes in the pavement or slipping on ice on steps. Do you see what I’m getting at? If she just tripped and fell for no reason, then she won’t get anything. I guess you would have to let me know the details. The only other thing I can tell you is to find out who insures the beach. It may be the city or county. You may not be suing the actual entire state. Suing isn’t the right word either. You would just be turning in a claim for the doctor’s bills. I’m not sure if she would get anything for missing any work if that happened. Also, if you are thinking of actually suing over this, I can tell you it won’t be worth it. I doubt you would win and you would spend way too much money.
