Can you tell me how I will know if my little Yorkie is in heat?
I am curious about your intention to breed. Have you really thought this through? Since I know nothing of your situation, I don’t mean to be preachy. There are many wonderful breeders, but you really need to know what you are getting into. If you are doing it for the money, forget that idea………you will most likely have more expense than income from puppies, as breeding is very expensive. It is impossible to prevent how successful a breeding will be. I worked for a Pembroke and Cardigan Welsh Corgi breeder, and I know she did not make money from breeding. She made money from grooming and boarding, but not from the breeding. There were so many vet costs, and unexpected problems. I remember trying to ave one of her puppies one time – just sitting in the grass trying to stimulate the puppy to breathe for over an hour. It was so upsetting when I could not revive it. I am sure it was not my fault, but I felt like maybe I could have done it better. Losing puppies is hard on you and hard
