Can you use Mindfulness to quit smoking?

Yes, I do think that mindfulness can be used to quit smoking. Be aware of how much you are smoking and try to cut down. Be aware of each puff and your lungs breathing in the horrible stuff.  Be mindful of these aspects and it may help you make a decision to quit or to cut down even more than you have already. Being mindful is being externally and internally aware of what you are doing. Taking this into account when you smoke can help you stop.

You may have smoked for so many years you do it without even being aware of it. Become aware and mindful can help you realize what a tax it is taking on your body.

Being mindful of the effort it takes you do things now because it is harder to breathe can also be of help to you.
