The story has been so, for teenaged girls the world over, since time immemorial. The plot too remains more of the same – independent, career-oriented woman as the protagonist, the philanthropic hot hero, their chemistry, romance, travails and, of course, a happy ending. For Jordan, the thrill multiplied because she went on to become an “MB” author, just like 1,300 others across the world today. Local wannabe Jordans, despair not: ye shall soon get a chance to pen mush. “We are in search of Indian authors to write for us and are even looking at introducing the books in other languages,” said Andrew Go, director, Harlequin Mills and Boon India.
