An Administrative Review Team staffing will be held and a decision based on the information from the social worker will be evaluated. A non-secure custody petition will be completed and the child(ren) will be placed in the custody of the Cabarrus County Department of Social Services if the safety and protection of the child(ren) absolutely cannot be maintained in the home. Family placements are always considered before placing a child in a foster home.
