Many non-Catholic Christians also kneel to pray. It just depends on what you were taught. Some of us can’t get down on our knees because of physical problems, or like me–if I get down on my knees I can’t get up without help. The effectiveness of prayer is not determine by your bodily posture, but by the God you’re praying to.
