Cellulite is the puckering and dimpling of the skin often called “orange peel effect or syndrome, cottage cheese skin, mattress phenomenon, and the hail damage among others”. It manifests itself in the subcutaneous layer or the layer of fat under the skin. This condition affects both men and women but is most common in the later especially the adolescent and the elderly. It is thought to be due to one or more of the following; • Heredity or Genetics • Hormonal imbalance due to excess estrogen • Free Radicals that is similar to causes of wrinkles. • Lifestyle issues where bad diet and lack of exercise dominated the daily schedule.
