Chewing gum is not related to the treatment modality and is not in the armamentarium of a dentist. Every reference to chewing gum as a substitute for a thoughtful preventative dental program sells a lot of gum but does little to your oral health if you do not seek regular exams and professional cleaning with your dentist.
