Contractor prices seem to vary greatly from company to company. How do I know if I am being treated fairly?
This is a very important question. I encourage my customers to get at least 3 estimates for a flooring job. Cheapest isn’t always best, especially when it comes to home improvement projects but some times there is no choice. You should also review references and/or ask friends and neighbors about their past experience with a flooring contractor. Also, consider how the work has held up over time. Most floors look really beautiful when they have been freshly coated, however, durability can only be proven over a period of time. A good, quality job speaks for itself through the customer and the long-term results. A good contractor will always have your interests first-make sure that you ask the right questions and that they are answered to your liking. In most cases I am not the cheapest choice but I feel that as a conscientious contractor I have your interests in mind and the quality of the job is my biggest concern.
