Could an all-powerful God create an old universe with an implied history?

He tells us exactly what happened and when in Genesis. Although Adam and Eve were created as young adults, as were, probably, the original populations of animals and plant life, the universe itself was rapidly formed in six days by the very processes He created from the substances He created. If it had been created in the midst of decay, with implied age, then the Bible is lying about two things: first that God declared creation ‘very good’ after man was created and second that all creation is groaning under the bondage of decay, and the implication there is that is due to sin. “Bondage to decay” is simply NOT ‘very good.
