Could bioidentical hormones to relieve menopausal symptoms cause recurrence of Thyroid Eye Disease?

0

Ten years ago I developed graves disease. I had significant eye involvement. Five years ago I underwent several surgeries to restore my eyes to somewhat normal appearance, including orbital decompression. I have been stable since. About 7 weeks ago I went on bioidentical hormones for menopausal symptoms. I have noticed in the last week or so that there is signficant swelling of my upper and lower lids not unlike it was at the outset of the disease. Would bioidentical hormones cause/contribute to this recurrence?
