Could candida succumb to alligator blood?
The article presents a research study by researchers at McNeese State University and Louisiana State University, which examines the alligator blood as a possible antibiotic source to fight bacteria and viruses. The study found that tiny amounts of the protein extracts killed six out of eight strains of Candida albicans. Researcher Lancia Darville says that scientists might be able to develop drugs that copy the blood proteins of alligator once they figure out the structure.
