Could I enter a professional faculty, such as Engineering or Nursing, and still be eligible to apply to Pharmacy in a subsequent year?
You will be eligible for admission consideration only if you have completed all required courses. Equivalents of the required courses for entry to pharmacy may not be part of the curricula of other professional faculties. Therefore, you may have to take extra courses not included in the regular curriculum to meet our requirements. For example, if you intend to complete study in an Engineering program you may not meet (at a minimum) our Chemistry, Biology and Social Science/Humanities requirements. Keep in mind that it may not be possible, and is not recommended due to course load issues, to add extra courses to your timetable if you enter a professional faculty such as Nursing or Engineering. Also note that specialized professional faculty courses such as ‘Introduction to Pharmacy Practice’ (which would be offered in Pharmacy programs), are not normally considered for purposes of meeting the Humanities/Social Science requirement.
