Could I have postural hypotension? Can it cause fast heart rate?
Usually, orthostatic (or postural) hypotension is defined by the 20-10-20 criteria, that is, a drop in blood pressure of 20 mmHg systolic and 10 mmHg diastolic, as well as an increase in heart rate of 20 bpm between laying down and standing. You took your measurements between sitting and standing, so it’s not really possible to say; however, your heart rate does seem unusually high, so I would strongly suggest seeking a doctor’s opinion (in person) so that he/she can do a real evaluation, which will probably also include a more carefully controlled test of orthostatic BP changes.
