Only one player has done it for 10 years in a row: Ichiro Suzuki, who accomplished the feat Thursday in Toronto. How big an accomplishment is this? Let’s go to the stats: • Ichiro has done something that Ty Cobb, Rogers Hornsby, Ted Williams, Pete Rose, Tony Gwynn and Wade Boggs never achieved. • Only Rose had 10 or more seasons of 200 hits. He could pass Rose next season. The all-time hits leader also had 10 200-hit seasons.
