I had my Merina coil fitted in December 06 and have had no probs until now. I started to have excruciating abdominal pains and have just been prescribed 2 lots of antibiotics for what they suspect is an infection. The doctor who examined me was adamant that the coil was not the problem although when she irritated the neck of my womb this didn’t cause a lot of pain, which is usual in cases of an infection. I don’t believe that it is an infection as i have no other symptoms ie high temp. vomiting, unusual bowel movements etc… Did you have any problems with your first coil at all?
