Human milk contains lactose regardless of mom’s diet. So obviously if the baby doesn’t react to breastmilk then the baby is not lactose intolerant. If your baby is allergic to something in the formula it can cause secondary lactose intolerance. Formula also makes reflux worse and more painful. The obvious solution is to get rid of the formula. He could be but the problem is that they wont test young babies for lactose intolerance as the tests arnt accurate till they are older.

The soy based formula doesn’t have lactose in it. Sometimes it’s best just to stick with breast milk.
