In order for there to be *no* ozone layer, the Sun would either have to cool to a red giant (by which time Earth would be inside its corona and lifeless), or there would have to be no oxygen in the atmosphere. Now if ozone was suppressed, say by a sudden influx of water vapor… – increases in cataracts – increases in cancer and mutation – decreases in crop yields – decreases in arable land The net “global warming” effect would be negligible. The amount of UV-B it allowed to be absorbed by Earth’s surface would be offset by the infrared light it allowed to pass unhindered to space.
