Could Tirus and Julie be future Crufts legends?
An NHS manager is putting leading her team to one side for the next few days and will instead be leading her pet and companion into the competition show ring at the world’s most esteemed dog show – Crufts. Julie Hughes, Sexual Health Commissioning Manager for NHS Norfolk, is hoping that her dog, Tiras, lives up to his pedigree name of ‘Anacan Future Legend’ as he competes at Crufts this week in the Breed Class for Canaan Dogs* (Postgraduates). At his Crufts’ debut appearance last year Tiras took second place in his Junior Class, and Julie is hoping that the two year-old does at least as well again among the postgraduates. “As such a youngster and as he will be competing against around 15 other dogs in his class, most of which are much older, it will be very stiff competition this year. “But the experience all helps him for the future if he doesn’t quite get there this time, and he is already showing much potential.
