A. In 2004 the ACE and the AACE had a consensus conference on inpatient diabetes and metabolic control. This was held in December in Washington, D.C., and I was privileged to speak at the meeting and to participate in the task force. The recommendations of the task force were published in Endocrine Practice, March/April 2004 edition, volume 10, supplement 2. The guidelines are published on page 4.
