There is a good chance that a young person will use whatever you say to justify getting a tattoo in defiance of his/her parent’s wishes There is one verse in the Bible where the term “tattoo” is used, Leviticus 19:28: “You shall not make any gashes in your flesh for the dead or tattoo any marks upon you: I am the LORD.” In the NT another term is introduced which describes “marks” inscribed upon slaves and others, Galatians 6:17 “From now on let no one cause trouble for me, for I bear on my body the brand-marks of Jesus.” The verse in Revelation does not use the exact wording of the text in Galatians.
