Did a replacement turbo cause engine trouble on my BMW?
Why did you have the turbo replaced in the first place? If it was because of turbo failure, it may appear that when they replaced the turbo, they didn’t clean out the inter cooler and inlet manifold, as when a turbo fails there will be a build up of il left in these items and when you go to drive away the new turbo blows the oil straight into the engine, as it’s a diesel engine it’ll continue to rev until the weakest thing breaks. I don’t know if this helps in the slightest.
