Adam Rodriguez Leaving CSI: Miami August 5th, 2009 | 9 Comments | Email | Share | Tweet TVGuideMagazine.com is reporting that when Adam Rodriguez returns to CSI: Miami this fall it will be for limited episodes. After the short run, he will then leave the show. Rodriguez may possibly return for a multiple episode arc, there is a possibility that he will only shoot the season premiere. At the end of last season, Delko had been shot by Calleigh and was lying wounded somewhere in the Miami marsh with his team desperately searching for him. As previously reported, the first episode will be set in 1997, as a comatose Delko flashes back to his past and how the team first met. It’s in the flashbacks that we will meet new series regular Eddie Cibrian for the first time, and the episode will also guest star former regular Khandi Alexander.

Finally, we hear from Adam Rodriguez himself about his departure (of sorts) from CSI: Miami. So he finds himself shot, in a coma, and then just disappearing, more or less. And the reasons are, well, other opportunities–that, and reading between the lines, it’s something he didn’t exactly expect. “It was just that time in my career,” he told Latina magazine. “I just felt like I’m really ready to see what life has to offer next; as an artist, you want to branch out and do other things.
